Children's Ministry Weekly Newsletter 3.13.26

Let's Get Ready to Worship!
On Resurrection Sunday (April 5th), there will be no CORE classes or 4REAL Worship (the Family Room, Nursery & Toddler care will be available). Why? Because we want to celebrate Jesus' resurrection as one big family! Our kids also have a special job that Sunday: to help us with worship! All kids ages 2-12 are invited to join the worship team on stage to sing Psalm 8 on Resurrection Sunday. We'll be practicing the next few weeks during CORE and 4REAL, but we invite you all to practice at home too! Play the song in the car or get out the wiggles by trying out the moves a home. We are so excited to worship with you!

Discipleship & Serve Opportunities

We have an opportunity to serve kids and families in need! 4REAL Worship will be collecting Easter baskets for kids in Newark from now until Palm Sunday. If you would like to donate a basket, please fill a basket with gospel-centered gifts and some treats (no weapons/violent toys). Please wrap your basket in cellophane (so no objects fall out!). Baskets can be dropped off at the table in the church hallway on Sundays.
Want to get your kids involved? Have them help you pick out a Bible or pick book that shares the Gospel. Go to a dollar store, Walmart or craft store to choose some items they think another child would like to receive!

This Sunday at 4REAL Worship

This month, we want kids to discover how the Bible defined success—through humility and service. We explore how John the Baptist pointed people to Jesus, rather than to himself, and meet the Roman Commander who, despite power and position, bowed to the authority of God. We take a look at how Jesus taught us to love our enemies and—through the story of Martha and Mary—how it’s important to give our time to Jesus first, before doing things for Him. Finally, we wrap up the month with Jesus’ humble entry into Jerusalem, and how He washed the feet of His disciples, instructing them to serve one another in the same way. Through it all, kids will discover that being first is less important than putting others first.
WEEK 2 - A Roman Commander Has Faith - In Week 2, meet a Roman commander who comes to Jesus for help. Instead of asserting his power and status, the man humbly asks Jesus to heal his servant. The commander even trusts that Jesus is so powerful that He only needs to speak and the boy will be made well. This week's Bottom Line, "Remember God is most important."
