Annual Community Egg Hunt
Dear Sparta Church,
As I write this, spring is in the air (70 degrees!) and I am physically feeling the hope of Spring. Of course, we know that the hope we feel in this season is not just about longer days and warmer weather (especially because there's snow predicted in the next few days. Sigh). Rather, our hope comes from all that Jesus accomplished through the cross and resurrection.
We are so excited to celebrate the work of Christ at our Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday services. But I also wanted to invite you to another event this spring: our Annual Community Egg Hunt. The Egg Hunt is Saturday, March 28th from 1:30-3:30pm. We invite the kids and families from our church and community to hunt for eggs, make crafts, take an Easter Story hayride, pet some bunnies and so much more. It's a super fun afternoon!
Do you have kids ages 2-12? Please come and enjoy the event. We also encourage you to invite a friend or neighbor to come with you! Registration is not required but is appreciated! Click here to Register!

Breakaway Day Camp
Registration for Breakaway Day Camp IS NOW OPEN! Camp is open to children 6-12 years old with a counselor in training (CIT) program available for teens ages 13-15 years old. Don't miss your chance to secure a spot for a summer full of Jesus, fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories!
Partial scholarships are available for children of Bible teacher Volunteers.

4Real Ministries Easter Basket Packing Party! March 26th, at 6pm!
Sparta Church will be hosting the Healthy Kids Running Series this Spring. HKRS is a 5 week program that aims to engage communities and families by providing a youth running experience, inspiring kids to believe in themselves and lead an active healthy lifestyle. We are excited to open up our beautiful church property to our church family and the community for 5 fun-filled kids races!
Race Dates: 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17 at 2pm.

SERVE OPPORTUNITIES
Manna House, in Newton, has a monthly spaghetti dinner fundraiser every second Tuesday of the month. Our church is responsible for providing people to serve in the kitchen. Our next serving date is March10th. The following tasks are needed to be done:
Some tasks overlap and if you are available to be there from 3 PM to 7 PM, that would be great.
Additional Tuesday spaghetti dinners are on the following dates: May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13, None in November, December 8.
- 1PM to 3 PM: Assist the chef with preparing the sauce. Cut vegetables, open cans etc.
- 3 PM to 7 PM: Kitchen crew needed to prepare salads and bread, cook spaghetti (heavy pots of boiling water from 4 PM), set up take-out dinner containers and serve dinners.
- 4 PM to 7 PM: Dishwashers.
Some tasks overlap and if you are available to be there from 3 PM to 7 PM, that would be great.

We have an opportunity to serve kids and families in need! 4REAL Worship will be collecting Easter baskets for kids in Newark from now until Palm Sunday. If you would like to donate a basket, please fill a basket with gospel-centered gifts and some treats (no weapons/violent toys). Please wrap your basket in cellophane (so no objects fall out!). Baskets can be dropped off at the table in the church hallway on Sundays.
Our annual Missions Trip to West Virginia will take place July 12–18, and we’re excited to begin sharing details for this year! If you’ve never been on this trip before and would like to learn more, join us for an Interest Meeting on April 12. Registration to sign up will open after April 12th. There will be a fundraiser at Holland American Bakery on March 20 from 3:30–6:30 PM to support the trip. We hope you’ll consider being part of this meaningful week of service!
